Real estate company to axe 60 jobs

PROPERTY company Cushman & Wakefield, which has an office in Manchester, is set to shed 60 jobs.

The company, which merged with DTZ recently, employs 2,100 at sites across the UK.

Cushman & Wakefield’s head of UK & Ireland said: “Regrettably we are consulting staff on approximately 60 redundancies where he have identified overlap or efficiency opportunities.

“For every impacted role, redundancy is the last option when all other alternatives, including redeployment, have been exhausted.

“We are committed to supporting all our colleagues over the transition period and to minimising disruption for our clients and the vast majority of employees who are not impacted.”

A spokesperson for the company refused to specify which sites are to be hit by job cuts, but TheBusinessDesk understands they predominently in London.
