Funding boost for online HR tool for SMEs

AN enterprising Liverpool businesswoman has secured more than £500,000 to grow an online HR management tool she has been developing for four years.

Victoria Brown, 34, who started her first business aged 17, has created oneHR – a web based HR management solution that supports employees and employers within her existing business, High Performance Consultancy.

She has won backing for oneHR from Manchester-based businessman and investor Mike Askew and the funding will help accelerate product development, boost recruitment and unlock growth.

Askew, who has been appointed to the OneHR board, said: “oneHR is a great example of how smart technology can help businesses of all sizes become more efficient.

“I have been incredibly impressed with Victoria and what she has achieved so far. I very much look forward to helping her drive the expansion of this exciting new product.”

Brown added: “oneHR is designed specifically as a low cost solution to streamlining HR administration for small and medium sized enterprises. The initial response from users has been overwhelmingly positive and I am confident that this significant investment, along with Mike’s experience and expertise, the company can meet its growth ambitions over the next three years.”
