AMS chief confident of progress

ADVANCED Medical Solutions, the Cheshire-based international manufacturer and supplier of woundcare products, says it remains on course to deliver full-year results in line with expectations.

The Winsford-based company, which has manufacturing plants in the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic,  supplies its products to 65 countries, said in a full-year trading update that it “continues to make good progress”.

Despite revenues being hit by currency movenments, AMS said revenue and profits for the year to the end of December are expected to be “in line with current market expectations.”

It added that regulatory approvals received this year for its new antimicrobial foams, together with the clearance to market its sutures in the US, have not had an impact on the 2015 results but are expected to contribute to growth in 2016.

Chief executive Chris Meredith  said: “The group continues to deliver strong organic growth supported by a pipeline of new products coming out of our research and development teams. We are confident that AMS is very well positioned to deliver further growth.”
