IoD reveals regional director shortlist

FORMER Apprenctice candidate Neil Clough and the founders of a leading pub and bar operator and a challenger law firm, have been shortlisted for the Institute of Directors’ 2016 North West Director of the Year Awards.

The shortlisted finalists also include Tim Bacon of Living Ventures, Philip Wilson of UCFB, Julian Curnock of Urban Splash and Daryl Cooke of law firm Gunnercooke.

The finalists cover sectors including digital and creative, pharmaceutical, property, retail and social enterprise. The group represents businesses spread right across the region including Cheshire, Manchester, Cumbria, Merseyside and Lancashire.

The shortlist covers 11 categories including director of the year in science and innovation, corporate responsibility, family business, global director, non-executive and young director.

Rachel Smith, NW director at the IoD said: “Our shortlist represents some of the most innovative and inspiring leaders the region has to offer. It’s always interesting to see what the finalists are doing differently to stand out in their fields and yet again this year we have some fantastic examples of success.”

The winners will be revealed on 25th February 2016 at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate, Manchester.
