Carrier adds three German routes

IRISH budget airline Ryanair is expanding its route network from Manchester with three daily flights to German cities beginning in the autumn.

Launching at the start of November the carrier will serve Berlin, Hamburg and Nuremberg.

Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said: “K customers can look forward to further improvements in the coming months, including new aircraft interiors, new uniforms and more new routes, under our “Always Getting Better” programme, as we continue to offer so much more than just the lowest fares.”

Manchester Airport’s managing director, Ken O’Toole expects the flights to be popular with business travellers.
He said: “It is hugely positive to see Ryanair expanding its offering from Manchester Airport. Nuremberg is an important business destination for the region and it is pleasing to be able to support companies who operate in that part of the world – or are looking to do so in the future – with a new direct service.

“Hamburg and Berlin are also strong business destinations, which will strengthen Ryanair’s offering from Manchester. I am sure all of the three routes will also prove popular with leisure passengers looking for a European city break. We will continue to work to grow our route network and connect the North with key business and leisure destinations across the world.”

Brian Holliday, a North West-based executive at German industrial giant Siemens added: “We are pleased to hear of this new Manchester Airport to Nuremburg route – a destination that is significant for us and the industrial economy we serve.”
