Property company takes city centre space

PROPERTY company Henry Boot has underlined its commitment to the region with a new office in Manchester city centre.

The Yorkshire-based group, which has been active in Manchester for the last 10 years and is behind the Courthouse on Deansgate , has taken the eighth floor at 26 Cross Street. Amounting to 2,161sq ft of space the office will be home to Henry Boot Developments and Hallam Land Management.

Henry Boot Developments, Manchester has doubled staff numbers in recent years and is already committed to delivering a pipeline of £200m of development in the city. Hallam Land Management is the strategic land arm of Henry Boot PLC, and is currently selling development land with planning permission for more than 750 houses and mixed commercial uses.

A third group company, Henry Boot Construction will relocate from Ardwick to Henry Boot Developments’ former offices at 1 Albert Square.  

Adam Brady, director and head of the Manchester office at Henry Boot Developments said: “Moving into 26 Cross Street is going to be great for our Manchester team as we take our presence here to new levels in the next couple of years. We’re actively looking for new development opportunities where we can add real value, whether in our own right or in joint venture with others.”

26 Cross Street has recently undergone a £3m refurb by owners Catalyst Capital to provide boutique style Grade A office space with state-of-the-art suites.

Bilfinger GVA acted on behalf of Catalyst Capital and is marketing the building jointly with OBI Property.
