Butchery chain to launch in town

FRESH meat and food to go retailer Crawshaws is opening its doors for the first time in Warrington and Widnes soon, creating 40 jobs.

It will be the 43rd and 44th store to open for the fast growing butchery chain and is the third and fourth opening in the last two months in the North West.

The £500,000 investment into the new stores is part of the Rotherham based retailer’s planned growth strategy.

By 2022, Crawshaws Group will invest £200m, opening 200 stores and creating 2,500 jobs, and therefore securing its status as a national brand.

Chief executive Noel Collett: “We’re thrilled to be further expanding our portfolio in the North West region where we are able to offer our fantastic range of fresh quality produce at affordable price, which is already delighting customers in our new stores in Birchwood and Blackburn respectively.

“We are also very proud to be a key part of the regeneration and investment opportunity in Warrington Town Centre.”
