6 things successful people do every night

Night time routines are a key ritual for successful people as they understand that what you do before bed can have a significant impact on your mood and energy levels the next day. If you want to become successful, it could be worth taking notes of what those above you are doing each night.

1) Make a to-do list
Successful people will take the time to create a list of things that they need to do the next day. They are prepared for the next day and won’t be up during the night thinking about what they need to do, as it will already be written down and ready for them to work on the following day.

2) Spend time with their loved ones
It is healthy to spend time with your family, friends or partner. It is really important to remember what is important and why they want to be such a success.

3) Keep a journal
Chances are your boss or CEO writes down in a journal what they have accomplished and learned. This journal will serve as a key way to stay motivated and remember what they want from life when they are going through a challenging time.

4) Unplug
When they are working, they give it everything. But when they aren’t working they unplug and enjoy their time. Not switching off quickly becomes draining even for the most driven people.

5) Meditate
Many use the 10 minutes before bed to meditate as they understand that it calms their body and mind and also makes them sleep much easier and prepares them for a more relaxing morning and following day.

6) Read 
Reading is the very last thing that a successful person will do before they go to sleep. This can be everything from fiction novels to news stories or scrolling down Twitter. Reading calms the mind and makes them think of something other than work, meaning that they will not go to sleep stressed.
