Eateries launch at city shopping centre

RESTAURANTS Busaba and Turtle Bay made their debut launches among the raft of eateries at the shopping complex Liverpool ONE.

Grosvenor Fund Management’s Turtle Bay and Busaba’s restaurants, 3,066 sq ft and 5,418 sq ft respectively, are adjacent to one another in Hanover Street, and join Wahaca, Reds True BBQ and Roxy Ball Room.

The launches follows the New World Trading Company’s Hamptons inspired pavilion style bar concept, The Club opened earlier this year and features a permanent grill and barbecue, which is set-up for year-round use.

The two-storey 7,446sq ft restaurant benefits from the extensive outdoor space leading to Liverpool ONE’s popular Chavasse Park.

Miles Dunnett, director of portfolio management at Grosvenor Fund Management, said: “Liverpool ONE has a dining and leisure mix that is unrivalled anywhere in the North West.

“The quality and variety of food and entertainment available not only complements the retail offer for visitors whose primary motivation for visiting Liverpool ONE is to shop, they are a reason to visit in their own right.”

Busaba chief executive Jason Myers added: “The site at Liverpool ONE as a location has been hugely successful so far.

“We are pleased to be part of the new dining scene on Hanover Street offering people in the North West the chance to sample the true taste of modern Bangkok within a cool and vibrant environment.”

The news coincides with the announcement catering sales at Liverpool ONE increased by 5.6% in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2015.

Cushman & Wakefield and Metis Real Estate Advisors acted for Liverpool ONE.  Syteways and JLL represented Reds True BBQ and Turtle Bay respectively. Busaba, The Club House and Wahaca all dealt direct.
