Outsourcery wins law firm contract

CLOUD computing firm Outsourcery, co-owned by the former Dragons’ Den star Piers Linney, has secured a £150,000 contract with law firm Keoghs.

Outsourcery will roll out Skype for Business for Keoghs as part of a contract worth £12,000 a month to the business.

Outsourcery’s Co-chief executive Piers Linney said: “We are delighted that we have the opportunity to work with an organisation of Keogh’s standing in the legal profession.

“We continue to deliver the full business-changing capability of unified communications, demonstrating Outsourcery’s market position as the number one provider of Skype for Business in the cloud. This win reinforces why Outsourcery remains committed to continuing to grow its direct sales capability to complement its partner strategy.”

Last week the listed Manchester-based company agreed a finance deal to give it much needed working capital after posting another year of losses.

A new facility with Vodafone, its principal secured lender, was agreed to provide additional funding so that the company can “realise its principal assets” in the immediate term.

The announcement of a proposed asset realisation and a previously announced restructuring suggest a sale could be imminent.

Last September technology entrepreneur Lawrence Jones, who owns cloud infrastructure business UKFast, invested more than £1m in taking a 10.5% stake in the loss-making  firm Outsourcery.

He is the third-largest shareholder in Outsourcery behinds its co-chief executives Piers Linney and Simon Newton.
