Airline launches service to South West
FLYBE, Europe’s largest regional airline, has started operating its new weekly summer flights between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Newquay Cornwall Airport.
Taking just one hour and 15 minutes, the flight cuts travel time by upwards of four hours compared to making the same journey by car – giving an extra eight hours of holiday time on a return trip.
The inaugural flight took off from Liverpool on Saturday.
Eight hours is the equivalent to an average day’s annual leave in the UK, no small gain for those who value their time off and want to make the most of it.
Vincent Hodder, Flybe’s chief revenue officer, said: “Our new route to Newquay from Liverpool opens up a whole new part of the country to travellers who may previously have been put off by the long journey times.
“We have all experienced driving or taking the train at peak holiday times, often an extremely stressful experience especially for families taking a well-earned break.
“This convenient new route confirms our customer promise to be the ‘Fastest way from A to Flybe’, faster than road or rail. We look forward to welcoming all our new passengers on board this summer.”

“Flybe’s flight to Cornwall Airport Newquay now means the region’s holidaymakers can be there in just over an hour saving all the hassle and able to spend more time to enjoy this popular holiday region.”
