New chair for PZ Cussons

MANCHESTER-based consumer products company PZ Cussons has appointed Caroline Silver to succeed Richard Harvey as its non-executive chair.

The appointment is effective from January 1 2017, following Harvey’s retirement.
Silver was appointed as a non-executive director of the company in April 2014. She is currently senior independent director and chair of the audit and risk Committee.

She is managing director at Moelis & Co, the global investment bank. A chartered accountant, she has worked within the investment banking sector for over 25 years and has a wealth of international experience, including substantial exposure to a number of African markets.
   
Harvey said: “I am delighted that Caroline has agreed to succeed me. She has exceptional business credentials and has contributed greatly to the Company in her role as a non-executive director.

“This continuity and her strategic vision and leadership skills will serve the Company well.”

Silver said: “The board of PZ Cussons wishes to extend its gratitude to Richard for his enormous contribution to the success of the company.
