EUAN Kellie Property Solutions, based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, has unveiled Ellie Philcox as associate director.

Philcox joins the planning firm from Deloitte with more than 10 years’ experience in the planning profession.

She has joined EKPS to assist with their growing workload, and to provide retail planning expertise.

EKPS was set up in 2009 and provides an innovative and commercial approach to clients’ land and property needs through the planning process. 

It has recently secured planning permission for development at The Crescent in Salford, the second large-scale PRS development planned by Bet Fred owner, Fred Done, and the mixed-use ‘Astley Point’ development in Wigan.

A WEALTH management expert with more than 25 years’ experience has joined the Ludlow Wealth Management, headquartered in Southport.

Darren Scoon joins the group as its 20th consultant and will be tasked with developing the firm’s client base in Scotland. He will work across Ludlow’s offices in Preston, Liverool, Blackburn and Lytham as well as Southport.

He joins the group from Principal and Prosper Ltd where he was business development manager.  Prior to that role he was national development manager – At Retirement, for Standard Life.

DELOITTE has promoted nine staff across its North West practice, including two new partners and seven directors.

The firm has announced that John Cooper (Deloitte Real Estate) and Martin Krivinskas (Tax) will both become partners.

Cooper joined as a graduate in 1998 and advises on major city centre regeneration projects.

His work on notable schemes over a significant number of years, including recent examples such as St John’s Quarter, has made a vital contribution to some of Manchester’s most transformative residential and commercial developments.

Krivinskas has worked in the firm’s tax division for almost six years with expertise in corporate and international tax issues.
 
The seven directors are: Donna Baker, Helen Cadman and Paul Farr (all Tax), Carl Acton, Helen Cutting and Michael Stallard (all Audit and Risk Advisory) and Paul Greenall (Consulting).

The latest promotions represent the strength and diversity of the firm’s regional network, which operates from offices in Manchester and Liverpool.

MANCHESTER-based law firm JMW Solicitors has made six promotions at partner level with a further 21 promotions.

Commercial property partners Claire Hamilton and Warren Martin who joined the firm in 2013 and 2015 respectively have been made fixed equity partners.

Claire Hamilton is the key partner working for a major property developer and investor in the North West, while Warren Martin names amongst his property finance clients Lowry Capital and Aldermore.


Meanwhile, Derek Millard-Smith an expert in consumer regulatory work brought his expertise to JMW in 2015 and acts for ParkingEye and the British Parking Association membership.
 
Michael Purvis joined JMW as an associate in 2012 and has progressed to fixed equity partners holding the relationships with introducers such as Precise Mortgages, JLL, SPF and Move with Us.

There have then been six promotions from senior associate to partner for Mark Heppell and Vicky Protano from corporate, Tasnim Khalid and Jodi Lund from private c lient, Nick McAleenan in media law and Lee McGovern who occupies a new business role in the firm.
 
Elsewhere in the firm there have been eight promotions to senior associate for Ben Miller, Louise Wakely and Richard Glover from the commercial litigation team, Paul Gotch and Daniel Harrison from the private client team, Jennifer Smith in employment, Holly Tootill in family law and Faris Humadi in IT.

A further nine promotions from solicitor to associate see promoted Danielle Gibson, Linda Medhurst and Michael Walker (personal injury), Holleh Cyples, Gaynor Dent and Breda Fallon (private client), Sara Bluston (corporate), Stephanie Adjepong (commercial property) and Mike Bloor (new business).

Prior to these promotions, staff numbers have also increased at JMW from 280 to 320 including 7 new Partners joining the firm in the past 12 months.

NEWTON-le-Willows-based Network Space has appointed B8 Real Estate co-founder Howard George as a non-executive board director.

Having been actively involved in the North West industrial and warehouse property sector for nearly 30 years, Georve has extensive market knowledge and has advised on a number of landmark transactions.

B8 Real Estate, a leading property practice specialising in the industrial and distribution sector, has recently undergone a restructure with Howard and fellow founder partner Tom Davis becoming consultants to the business.

FOLLOWING its recent investment to grow the business and multiple new client wins, Cube3, a Manchester-based creative, digital and marketing agency, has welcomed seven new members to the team.
 
Joining the creative team is Leanne Donaghy, Emma Levin, Tomas Manchester and Emily Cozens.

Kam Cheng is the latest addition to the digital team and brings four years of experience to his new Paid Search and SEO specialist role.
 
Looking after the operational side of the business is Anne Marie O’Neill who is now head of operations and will be responsible for reviewing working practices and making sure they are streamlined and efficient, as well as HR and supporting customer satisfaction.
 
Further supporting Cube3’s operations, Janine Copues joins as the new finance manager. With more than eight years’ experience, she will be responsible various aspects of finance including payments, invoicing and payroll.

THE  group director of Salford-based high court enforcement company Andrew Wilson & Co has been appointed the new chairman of the High Court Enforcement Officers Association.

Andrew Wilson takes the helm following a unanimous vote held by fellow board members at the association’s AGM in May.

High Court Enforcement Officers are authorised to execute judgment orders of the High and County Court of England and Wales to recover debt, often by seizing goods and repossessing property.

All are members of The High Court Enforcement Officers Association (HCEOA), formerly known as The Sheriffs Officers Association, which is the national voice of the industry.

Wilson has been given the job of chairman in recognition of his service on the HCEOA Board of Directors since 2004 and for his contribution to the association as vice chairman for the last six years.

The announcement comes as Andrew Wilson & Co has just completed its most successful year in its 16-year history.

ONE of the largest independent accountancy firms in the North West has welcomed a new director to its Chester office.

McLintocks Chartered Accountants has appointed Karl Rosedale as a result of his impressive national recognition and expertise in the sports and entertainment industry.

As a previous director at Smith & Williamson in Manchester, Rosedale has provided expert knowledge and advice to an array of high net-worth individuals including professional footballers and their agents.

In line with McLintocks’ company expansion, Rosedale will now work alongside fellow director Alastair Jeffcott and the rest of the team to further develop his strong connections with professional advisors and intermediaries.

INNSIDE Manchester by Melia has appointed three new managers as the hotel celebrates one year since opening at First Street.

Martyn Wright, Marcus D’Souza and Scott Montgomery have been appointed to management positions across the reservations, F&B and sales departments respectively.

D’Souza and Montgomery join the company from Thistle hotels in Manchester and Liverpool as restaurant and bar manager and senior sales manager. Wight joins as revenue and reservations manager from the Radisson Manchester Airport.
