Changes at the top for holiday cottage rental company

SYKES Cottages has announced that its chief executive Miles Hill will step down in August after eight years at the helm.

He will be replaced by Graham Donoghue, currently group chief product officer at Moneysupermarket Group, where he has also served as managing director. He has also carried out board roles and TUI.

Sykes Cottages employs 250 staff at Hoole near Chester and represents 6,000 holiday rental cottages across the UK and Ireland.

Paul Gilbert, deputy chairman said: “I would like to that thank Miles for his leadership of the business through its transition to private equity ownership and then driving and overseeing its continued growth and success.

“We are delighted to have secured an exceptional individual of Graham’s calibre. He is an experienced leader in the digital space, with a formidable track record, and we look forward to welcoming Graham to Sykes Cottages in August.”

Hill said: “It has been a privilege to work with Clive and the team at Sykes over the past eight years. Together we have created a successful and dynamic business with outstanding future potential.”

Donoghue said: “I am excited about working back in the travel industry and leveraging my passion for digital, technology and outstanding customer experience. The business is in great shape and the team are focused in delivering for our customers and owners.”
