North West law firm heads south
LAW firm Keoghs is to expand into Southampton, taking its office count to seven.
The firm, which specialises in defendant legal and claims related services for the insurance sector, has appointed 24 new staff, including eight partners, who will focus on large and catastrophic loss and be based in the new office.
The expansion takes staff numbers to 1,200 and increases the firm’s geographical reach, adding to its four offices in Bolton, along with its bases in Manchester and Coventry.
Keoghs chief executive John Whittle said: “These are exciting times for Keoghs and it is a testament to our reputation that we have been able to attract such talent to the firm.
“Whilst we are already regarded as a leading expert in handling large loss and complex injury cases, these new appointments will cement our position within the market, allowing us to provide our clients with a service which is second to none.”
Keoghs recorded a pre-tax profit of £10.1m on a turnover of £54.4m for the year to the end of May 2015.
