All you can eat buffet in £8m national expansion

A RESTAURANT chain based in Bolton is planning national expansion worth £8m resulting in 400 new jobs.

THE Chinese Buffet specialises in “all you can eat” authentic cuisine and was launched 10 years ago by co-founders Peter Wu, Paolo Hu and David Hu.

Since then, it has regularly opened new venues across the North-west – including Bury, Preston and Blackpool – and its 11th restaurant has just been opened in Darlington.

It is looking to further expand across the North-east and elsewhere, but is continuing its commitment to Greater Manchester with the building of a 20,000sq ft distribution centre in Wigan. This will facilitate the chain’s growth and maintain the quality and consistency of the food.

Managing director Paolo Wu said: “THE Chinese Buffet has already become the first choice for Chinese cuisine in many towns, and now we want to take that a step further with a major expansion scheme nationally.”
