People on the move: P4 Planning; High Access; Mason Williams Communications; CBRE; Birchall Blackburn Law

P4 Planning has appointed skilled town planner Charlotte Fowler as an associate.

Fowler has 10 years’ experience of planning residential and commercial developments across the UK.  

She joins from Indigo Planning where she advised investor Alaska on developing its business park in Shrewsbury, helped Care UK bring forward a residential care home in the green belt and managed a large portfolio of projects for Royal Mail.

P4 Planning was established by industry figure Bill Davidson in 2013 following his departure from Indigo Planning, where he set up and led the Manchester office for nearly 15 years.  

This appointment takes his team to three senior fee earners servicing an impressive list of clients that include Bruntwood, InfraRed, Threadneedle, Seddon and Forrest Construction.

HIGH level commercial property maintenance service provider High Access has appointed Phil Wong as finance director to support ongoing business expansion.

Wong joins from Laing O’Rourke. With vast experience within overarching financial and operational strategy, he arrives at the company during a period of growth, having recently secured £3.3m in funding from the Business Growth Fund (BGF).

He will play a large part in shaping future growth as the Manchester-based business expands, launching depots throughout the UK.

High Access employs the highest number of at-height operatives in the North West and plan to expand the teams across London and Birmingham in response burgeoning property development and redevelopment market.

FOUNDER and chief executive of Manchester-based Mason Williams Communications John Williams has been appointed president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions for the IPREX network.
 
IPREX is a top 10 global communications organisation with turnover of $350m and 1,800 staff working in 115 offices worldwide.
 
Mason Williams is the IPREX consumer partner in the UK.

Williams who set up Mason Williams with partner Rita Rowe in l986 will oversee the planned expansion of IPREX within the European, Middle East and African regions.
 
Williams said: “I am excited about the prospect of increasing our involvement with IPREX to bring business to the UK, not only for MW but for other partners in our network.”

THE Manchester office of CBRE has appointed Catherine Potts as an associate director within its specialist markets division, making the team the largest diverse Specialist Markets team within the region.
 
An experienced valuer and adviser of trading businesses within the care, medical, pub, retail and hotel sectors, Potts joins CBRE from Christie + Co in Manchester where she held the position of associate director and valuation services manager.

In her new role at CBRE, she will be undertaking valuation advisory work across a range of sectors including pubs, leisure and healthcare.

Her appointment follows two recent promotions within the six-strong team headed up by senior director Shaun Skidmore. Julian Such has been promoted to director and Nick Huddleston to associate director, who work alongside associate director Richard Savage and surveyor Lorna Pass.

NORTH West law firm Birchall Blackburn Law has made two senior promotions in the conveyancing department at its Manchester office.  

Stacey Ashe has been promoted to partner and Rachel Buckley has been promoted to senior associate conveyancer.
 
Thirty-one-year-old Ashe joined Birchall Blackburn in 2007 and qualified as a solicitor in 2011, she has worked across a number of the firm’s offices in conveyancing, foreign property and private client fields and more recently she has headed up the client services team.

Buckley, 36, has been with the firm for 20 years and has been promoted from her role as conveyancing executive where she was responsible for four conveyancing teams. She joined the company as a legal assistant, aged 16, working in property and litigation and has a wealth of experience in the sector.
