City’s largest warehouse development for decade is complete

PEEL Logistics has completed the largest speculative development for a decade in Liverpol.

L175, the 175,000sq ft industrial and logistics facility at Liverpool International Business Park, reached practical completion in August and is now available for occupation.

Located adjacent to Liverpool Airport and close to Liverpool2, L175 is also the only Grade A unit in excess of 100,000sq ft within a 10-mile radius of Jaguar Land Rover.

Peel says it will provide significant cost savings for JLR supply chain businesses wishing to relocate to Liverpool International Business Park.

Matt Fitton, development director of Peel Logistics said: “The completion of L175 within budget and on schedule is another significant milestone for Peel Logistics as it continues to build a reputation as a developer of high quality warehousing facilities.

“The speculative development is particularly attractive to the automotive sector with Jaguar Land Rover situated just five minutes away at Halewood.

“The opening of Liverpool2 in the near future provides a catalyst for increased warehousing demand in the region and makes L175 an excellent opportunity for occupiers seeking to expand or build a new presence in the North West.”

The building was constructed by Eric Wright Group and designed by AEW Architects.

Managing director of AEW, Steve Burne said: “We have worked with the supply chain and the Peel Logistics construction team to create a functional logistics facility meeting institutional standards with the flexibility to accommodate potential occupier requirements.”
