Investment manager passes £1bn milestone

THE Liverpool and North Wales offices of investment management firm Quilter Cheviot, part of Old Mutual Wealth, have passed a combined landmark of £1bn of client funds under management.

The offices, which operate from St Paul’s Square and Conwy Business Centre respectively, manage assets on behalf of private clients, trusts and intermediaries. The 25-strong team includes 12 qualified investment managers.

They continue to pursue an organic growth strategy, with a business development approach focused on building its presence in both the private client and intermediary markets.

Quilter Cheviot’s strong position in the charity investment management market and specialist expertise in Tier 1 Visa and court of protection work have too aided growth.

The firm has also concentrated on employee development, harnessing raw talent and evolving it into fully-fledged investment expertise, through an ongoing apprenticeship programme.

Head of the Liverpool office Simon Walker said: “Our success is a combination of good people, investment performance and high quality service delivery.

“We are able to support our clients with a team of expert investment managers who possess 200 years of collective experience between them.”

Quilter Cheviot focuses primarily on structuring and managing discretionary portfolios and funds for private clients, charities, trusts, pension funds and intermediaries.
