Green light for UK’s biggest trampoline park

PLANNING approval has been given to transform a 53,000 sq ft unit at Chester Gates Business Park into the UK’s biggest trampoline park.

The decision by Cheshire West and Chester Council will now trigger a £2.5m investment and the creation of 100 jobs when Flip Out Chester opens its doors this October.

Jobs available will include managers, court monitors, event planners, customer service, catering staff and a ‘head of fun’.

The Flip Out brand will be brought to Cheshire by businessmen Matthew Melling and Elliott Shuttleworth, who opened the UK’s first Flip Out arena in neighbouring Staffordshire last December.

Melling said: “It’s going to be awesome – twice as big as our arena in Staffordshire – with giant foam pits, wall to wall trampolines, basketball slam dunk court, free running, an under 7s area and a café and viewing gallery, as well as a few surprises we have up our sleeves. Outside there will be more than 150 free parking spaces – something we know is massively important to our visitors.”

In addition to offering hourly trampolining sessions, Flip Out Chester will also offer a Flip Fit circuits class, Little Ninja classes for 4 to 14 year olds, after dark sessions with DJ and light show, toddler time and birthday parties.

The Flip Out franchise originated in Australia before branching out into India, Mexico, Malaysia, Scandinavia, New Zealand, Taiwan, the UK, Dubai and Spain.

Flip Out Stoke was the first Flip Out centre to open in the UK, attracting more than 320,000 visitors since its launch.
