Weavers Quay ship set to sail

A 201-home development in Weavers Quay in in Manchester’s New Islington Marina has been given planning approval.

Manchester Life Development Company has received permission for the rental development on a currently vacant site bordered by Old Mill Street, Weybridge Road, Coppersmith Road and the marina.

Weavers Quay will provide one, two and three-bed  rental apartments from spring 2019 onwards, complete with residents’ club room, 64 on-site car and 130 on-site cycle spaces, and a 24-hour concierge service.

Manchester Life said the marina-side location of Weavers Quay in the emerging Ancoats district, provides a desirable central Manchester location with immediate and easy access to the city’s employment, amenities and transport networks.

Weavers Quay is the sixth and final site within Phase One of Manchester Life to receive planning approval.

Phase One will deliver more than 1,000 new rental and for sale homes in East Manchester and set a new benchmark for residential accommodation in the city by bringing together the best of residential design, development and management.
