Raft of signings at revamped City Tower

SCHRODER Real Estate has completed new lease agreements with a series of existing tenants at City Tower, Manchester, after a major refubishment.

Dunnhumby, a leading customer science company, chartered accountants Saffery Champness and architects Sheppard Robson have all signed new deals to remain at City Tower.

Following the launch of its first UK offering, serviced office providers iHub Offices has also agreed terms to expand within the tower.

The landmark scheme has also added to its food and beverages offering as Nudo Sushi Box opened a 1,55 sq ft store within the scheme fronting onto Moseley Street.

The deals demonstrate recognition from tenants of Schroder Real Estate’s commitment to investing in the building’s infrastructure and offering.

Based in Piccadilly, the ground floor atrium and reception area of the tower has been transformed to incorporate a business lounge and formal meeting rooms, booths and additional catering and retail units. New illuminated signage has also been added to the exterior of the building.

The refurbishment was designed to create a high-quality environment with the capacity to entertain and impress visitors, whilst also providing more relaxing areas for interacting with colleagues.

Tom Newman, investment nanager, Schroder Real Estate, said: “We’re delighted that each of these tenants has recognised our continued commitment and investment into City Tower and signed new lease terms.

“Many companies have realised the potential for creating more social environments that foster a sense of community. This was a real driver behind the design of the refurbishment programme with a view to improving staff morale and productivity and creating an office and work-life culture that attracts the best recruits.

“It is our long-term plan to enhance the offer at City Tower where we are continually adapting facilities to meet the changing needs of the workforce with further phases of works planned both for inside and outside the building.”
