People on the move: Sigma Capital; FPE Global; Extreme Low Energy; techUK

RESIDENTIAL and urban regeneration specialist Sigma Capital, has made two new appointments at its Manchester office as part of its growth strategy in the region.

Steven Brewster has joined the company as development manager from J&E Shepherd Surveyors.

Brewster is responsible for the planning, acquisition and delivery of Sigma’s PRS schemes across the Midlands and Southern England. He will concentrate on managing key relationships to ensure each development is delivered in accordance with its contractual requirements.

Victoria Hurcomb has also joined Sigma as marketing manager, having previously spent more than two years at Refinery Marketing Communications.

Hurcomb is responsible for the company’s marketing strategy, as well as taking a lead role in developing and implementing the Sigma Capital and related private rental brands across current and future schemes.

Brewster said: “Sigma Capital is an exciting company renowned for its expertise in the residential property sector so I am delighted to take the position of Development Manager.

“The company is a driving force the PRS market in the UK and I look forward to helping expand the brand into the Midlands.”

Hurcomb added: “Sigma is a hugely successful organisation that has recently experienced significant growth. From a marketing perspective this is an opportune time to develop the brand further and I am looking forward to being part of that journey.”

In May 2016 Sigma Capital also appointed Hannah Spray as asset manager to supervise the company’s property portfolio across the North West.

STOCKPORT-based bulk handling specialist FPE Global has appointed Peter Slee-Smith as a technical industry expert to focus on new product development as the company gears up for significant growth.

Slee-Smith has more than 25 years’ experience in materials handling and powder processing and has held a number of senior positions at Matcon, B&W, Portasilo and Clyde Bergemann.

He has a strong track record of helping to grow companies at all stages in their development and has been responsible for leading projects in locations such as Russia, China, Korea and Czech Republic.

He has previously worked with FPE’s chief executive David Cooper when they both served on the board of directors for Matcon, where they delivered significant growth to the firm through the supply of integrated IBC systems for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

In his new role, Peter will work closely with the company’s senior management team to drive new product development and help to develop the operational side of the business to provide higher value services to its customer base.

ENERGY technology firm Extreme Low Energy has appointed a new head of global business development.

Former vice president of sales at global education company Promethean Peter Ormerod joins ELe to lead the Formby, Merseyside-based firm’s worldwide development team.

Ormerod’s appointment significantly strengthens ELe’s management team as the company prepares to embark on ambitious international expansion plans and become a leading supplier of low energy technology.

TECHUK has announced that Manchester-based digital transformation consultancy Informed Solutions UK chief excutive Seth Finegan is to become a member of its Central Government Council.

Finegan has more than 20 years front line experience in leading and delivering transformation programmes within Government.
