DIGITAL agency e3creative – a joint venture between former Manchester United and England footballer Gary Neville and Jake Welsh – has recruited Victoria McNaughton as its latest business development manager.

McNaughton joins the Manchester-based company with more than 10 years of experience in the creative industry.

Her background is comprised of managing high-profile clients and leading teams focused on marketing strategy development and implementation.

McNaughton’s most recent role was with Blue Chip Marketing, as an account development manager, and now looks forward to applying her expertise to advance e3creative.

MANCHESTER’s award-winning public affairs, PR and creative agency Social Communications has promoted Pete Wrathmell to board director following the business’ recently announced expansion into London.

Wrathmell, 35, joined the company in 2014 and his appointment comes during a major growth period for Social Communications.

A succession of recent high-profile account wins include the National College for High Speed Rail, Manchester Enterprise Academy Central and Liberty Retirement Properties.
 
Over the past six months, Social Communications has employed eight new members of staff to meet growing demand and expand its range of services.

As this expansion continues, Wrathmell’s promotion further strengthens Social Communications’ public affairs offer, which is backed by an integrated creative service and a PR team led by director Caty Cartwright.

TRAFFORD Housing Trust, a housing association with a portfolio including a social enterprise and a housebuilding business, has announced a new organisational structure and additions to its board.

Both moves are designed to support the trust’s continued growth and expansion plans for housebuilding across Greater Manchester, the North West and beyond. The reorganisation will also allow the Trust to adapt to the new funding plan for supported housing as recently announced by the Government.
 
The two new board members, Nigel McGurk and John Shannon, will help the trust with adapting to new policies such as this and both join as non-executive directors, assuming the position of board co-optee and development & new business committee member.

McGurk brings with him 25 years of public, private and community sector experience across the development industry, with the last 15 years having been spent in national, board-level roles. For the past five years he has been director of Erimax – Land, Planning and Communities, a land and planning business.

Shannon joins the Trust’s Board from a construction background where for over 13 years he held regional and national director positions with the Wates Group. During his 10 years as regional director the Wates group established a regional construction and successful social housing business with a turnover in excess of £80m.

Graeme Scott has also been promoted from assistant director to director of the trust’s developer arm, and will lead in the delivery of over 2,000 new homes in the next four years.

INTEGRATED marketing agency RMS PR has expanded its team with the recruitment of two new account executives.

The strategic appointments have been made to support an aggressive business development strategy about to be implemented by the Altrincham, Greater Manchester agency.

Tom Moss, a former European junior freestyle swimming champion, joins as PR and marketing executive and will manage internal and external comms at the agency, while also handling a select number of clients from the financial sector.

English graduate Ben Smith, will boost the agency’s consumer PR team, working with clients including Warburtons, Swizzels, Character World and William Clark.

MANCHESTER-based events management company the Taylor Lynn Corporation has announced two new staff appointments and the promotion of key events manager, Ellie Barnes.

TLC has seen a significant growth year-on-year in its number of events, and with corporate events back on the rise and business-on-the-books making positive reading for 2017, managing director Liz Taylor has added to her company with the recruitment of a new sales team Rosie Griffin and Carl Darcy.

In addition, Ellie Barnes has become a shareholder in TLC and will now be responsible for running the day-to-day operation in the company’s busy Manchester headquarters.
“TLC is constantly innovating and we are entering another exciting phase for the company” said Taylor.

“The changes will allow me to concentrate on developing the creative aspects of the business as well as invest more time in furthering TLC’s extensive client relationships.”  

Griffin is a highly experienced sales person with a corporate sales background, particularly in the incentive market, while Darcy is formerly business development manager at Bolton Whites Hotel and brings sales experience from roles with Macdonald Manchester Hotel and the five star Lowry Hotel, Manchester.

PROPERTY consultant JLL has expanded its cost management offering into the North West, with the formation of a new team that will advise on development and refurbishment projects in the region.

Associate director Matt Handley has joined to lead the regional service and will grow a team of specialists providing a full suite of cost management services to support new and existing clients across the region.

He joined JLL following nearly 16 years at global project and cost management firm Faithful & Gould.

As part of JLL’s 40-strong, national offering, the new Manchester service will complement JLL’s established building consultancy, project management, property and asset management and development agency teams based in the North West.

Handley said: “The residential and commercial markets in Manchester are both showing signs of continued strength. This, alongside the variety of refurbishment and reconfiguration work across different asset classes, made establishing a cost management service here a clear choice.”

LANCASHIRE-based law firm Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors has underlined its commitment to strategic expansion with the appointment of Paul Matthews as head of its corporate and commercial team.
 
Matthews, who is 48 and lives near Chorley, joins WHN after a long and distinguished career as a specialist solicitor. He spent 12 years as a partner with Manchester city centre firm, Rowlands Solicitors, including time as joint managing partner.

His remit at WHN involves building and developing the firm’s corporate and commercial practice at its seven offices across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
 
He said: “Having brought a number of Manchester clients over to WHN and ensuring they are bedded into our client base, I am now looking to attract new clients, increase the volume and value of transactions we undertake, and eventually recruit extra team members.
