Major plan for 1,000 new homes in Cheshire
AN application to build nearly 1,000 homes in Nantwich, Cheshire has been submitted by housebuilders Taylor Wimpey, Redrow Homes and David Wilson Homes.
HOW Planning has submitted the proposal – believed to be the largest single reserved matters application ever to be submitted to Cheshire East Council.
If approved, the development will be built on land at Kingsley Fields. The proposals has been submitted following approval of an outline scheme on the site in January 2016.
The site is within easy walking distance to Nantwich town centre and a wide range of existing facilities, all of which will benefit from the new housing planned by the house builders.
The housing will comprise a mix of detached, semi-detached, mid terrace and apartments on a 58 hectare site, with Taylor Wimpey delivering 366, Redrow 319 and DWH North West 312 new homes in a village environment.

The development will also bring to fruition the current major investment programme at Reaseheath College.
It will release capital to fund the building of the Agricultural Technology Centre, Halls of Residence, the extension to the Higher Education and Business Centre and the Health and Fitness Facilities at the College.
The College’s capital investment will be match funded by the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and augmented by commercial finance to deliver £31m into improved educational facilities in Nantwich and to the benefit of the wider economy.
