Work starts on £9m residential development

CONSTRUCTION work on the £9m Grace Gardens residential development in a prime area of Gorton, Manchester is underway.

The scheme, being developed by regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships, which markets its homes under the award winning Linden Homes banner, will create 62 high quality new homes across two sites.

Work started this week on phase one of the development which will see 14 two, three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached homes built on Belle Vue Street, an up-and-coming suburb of the town.

The new homes which will range in price starting from £145,000, are already proving popular with buyers. Since obtaining planning approval earlier this year, Linden Homes has received over 400 expressions of interest from parties keen to quickly reserve the properties.

Sian Pitt, Head of Sales at Galliford Try Partnerships, said: “We are delighted that work is progressing at Grace Gardens as the high quality new homes planned will be a welcomed addition to the city’s housing stock.

“With its excellent transport links and close proximity to the Manchester city centre we are confident of the success of this new scheme and look forward to receiving the first reservations.”
