Savills appointed to manage new landmark Spinningfields building

XYZ Building

UNION Investment has appointed international real estate adviser Savills to manage the XYZ building in Manchester.
 
XYZ is a new workspace building by Allied London located in Spinningfields and spans more than 160,0000sq ft, featuring a mixture of public amenity space including cafes, restaurants, meeting spaces and leisure facilities.
 
Savills will be managing the building of seven floors, one of which comprises 20,000sq ft of new enterprise space for innovative companies and start-ups in the financial technology industry known as The Vault.
 
The building will be opening towards soon and Global Radio, Shoosmiths and the NCC Group are all confirmed office tenants, while Drake & Morgan will open a restaurant and UP Fitness with operate a gym.

The development has an excellent BREEAM rating and the XYZ work space will also offer flexible event areas plus a terrace, mezzanine bar and coffee shop.

“XYZ is a landmark building for Manchester’s business community and we very much support the vision of developer Allied London to create an environment where there is a dynamic, collaborative approach to enterprise,” said Tim Bretten, European director of property management at Savills.
 
“Through the strategic property management of the building, we are confident that XYZ and The Vault will become a thriving hub for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in the North.”

Savills currently manages properties for Union Investment across Europe, including The Netherlands and France. Savills also advised Union Investment on the acquisition of the XYZ building.
