Healthy eatery set to launch pop-up at shopping complex

WELL-known healthy eatery The Garden in Hale village, Greater Manchester, is set to open a pop-up counter in the food hall of Selfridges, in the Trafford Centre.

Nestled in the leafy suburb of Hale village, The Garden serves locally sourced, organic, earth friendly food, raw desserts and cold pressed juices all made fresh in the kitchen each morning.

Established by entrepreneurs and friends Kate Donovan and Amy Shepherdson almost two years ago, The Garden has not only proven popular with local people, but attracts visitors from across the country to taste the café’s healthy, nutritional menu, plentiful in vegetarian and vegan choices.

On Tuesday (November 1), The Garden will be opening a pop-up take-away service in the food hall at Selfridges to satisfy hungry shoppers on the go.

The menu boasts a generous selection of healthy dishes with a selection options for individuals on a vegan or gluten free diet such as the ‘Raw Rainbow’ salad bowl and The Garden’s version of the traditional BLT; the ‘TLT’ replacing the bacon with tempeh, a fermented soy based ingredient similar to tofu.

In addition, weary shoppers can re-vitalise with a delicious fruit smoothie, cold pressed juice or a shot of ginger, wheatgrass or garlic, and get their natural caffeine fix with a cold matcha mylk.

Kate Donovan, owner of The Garden said: “We are really excited about this new project, introducing the new on-the-go concept to the brand and expanding our offering to a wider market. After seeing our passion for nutritious food and wellbeing come to life through The Garden over the last 2 years, it’s wonderful to see the business grow.”
