Neighbourhood launches newest bar in commercial district

BRASSERIE-style dining at a corporate social hub is what Neighbourhood promises as it branches into Liverpool.

Manchester’s Manhattan-inspired eatery Neighbourhood has expanded, launching off its success in the city to new horizons at Castle Street, Liverpool.

The opening of the flagship bar follows a multi-million pound investment from North Edge earlier this year and the owner of East Coast Concepts, James Hitchen, aims to expand the brand across the North West.

Hitchen said: “Now is a very exciting time in our journey and we have big growth plans across the group.

“The opening of Neighbourhood Liverpool will bring the company’s employee headcount over 200 and we’re planning to open a further three venues next year taking our unit count to six.”

With all-day dining transforming into a social space in the commercial district at night, the bar will focus on live music from a variety of acts.

Last month, its team announced DJ and radio presenter Anton Powers would be taking up weekend residency at what is set to be a party hotspot.

Neighbourhood brand director, Ashley Williams, said: “The venue is perfectly situated amongst the vibrant commercial district and we will also be looking to cater for and become involved with the thriving corporate clientele across the city.

“We’re mixing things up in Liverpool. This will become our new flagship site, giving us the opportunity as a brand to introduce new concepts and ideas – we’re hoping to bring a little bit of Miami to Liverpool.”

Neighbourhood specialises in steaks, seafood and sushi, but more generally offers dishes inspired by the laidback dining atmosphere of French brasseries.
