New day-care centre in Salford to provide 20 jobs

A NEW nursery which will provide care for children between the ages of six weeks and four years old is being created in Swinton, Salford.

Little Footprints Nursery, above The Funhouse play centre on Little Moss Lane, will create new 20 jobs.

Set to open in January 2017, the nursery will provide childcare for 50 children and include four classrooms, a sensory room and water area.

The site is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment because of an undisclosed loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Owner Asma Deen, who has worked with children for more than 15 years, said: “Work is now well underway and we are aiming to create a state-of-the-art facility which not only caters to children’s needs but also provides a warm and caring environment.”

Deen and her husband Shahed also own The Funhouse play centre beneath the new nursery, which opened in 2011 thanks to earlier funding from RBS.

Michele Fynan, business relationship manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland said: “The new nursery is already looking fantastic and I am pleased that we have been able to support Shahed and Asma with its development.

“Its opening will help to provide more choice to families in the area looking for first class childcare and will help to satisfy local demand.”
