CBRE to manage 101 Embankment and surrounding area

CBRE’s asset services team has been appointed to manage the 165,000sq ft 101 Embankment office building and surrounding public realm is Manchester city centre.

The appointment was made by joint venture partners Ask Real Estate, Carillion and Tristan Capital Partners.

Almost complete 101 Embankment is a 165,000sq ft Grade A office building with retail and leisure opportunities and will be ready for occupation soon.

Construction is scheduled to start on an additional 160,00sq ft, Building 100, at the development  next year.

The Embankment development is located at the former Exchange railway station site, directly opposite Manchester Cathedral and Chetham’s School of Music within the city’s prime retail and leisure district, close to Harvey Nichols and Selfridges and adjacent to the new multi-million pound Greengate Square public realm.

The instruction follows on from the appointment of CBRE’s office agency team on 101 Embankment.

Katherine Noden, senior surveyor at CBRE Manchester, said: “In addition to managing the new office building, we will be putting into practice our experience of maximising public realm around Cathedral Approach to ensure that the development as a whole is efficiently and enthusiastically managed for the benefit of occupiers.”

On behalf of the joint venture, Jamie Hills, senior development executive at Ask Real Estate said: “We are pleased to appoint CBRE’s Asset Services team on Embankment as we move closer to delivery of the first phase of this significant  scheme.

“The focus on maximizing the public realm will enable us to contribute to the overall regeneration of the wider Greengate neighbourhood.”
