Band on the Wall in bid to raise £500K

RENOWNED Manchester live music venue and charity Band on the Wall is aiming to raise £500,000 towards its landmark expansion plans.

The venue, which is also a not-for profit music education organisation, has kicked off a range of new one-year, five-year and lifetime membership packages.

Since opening its doors to the new-look venue in 2009, Band on the Wall has delivered a multiple award-winning national concert programme supported by a unique learning and participation offer, allowing it to engage with young people, emerging musicians and the wider community in Manchester and beyond.

The charity now hopes to capitalise on this success by creating an expanded facility with more dedicated space for learning and participation activity, along with an increased venue capacity that will enable it to bring more globally-renowned artists to Manchester.

Some £2m has provisionally been raised through grants from Arts Council England and Manchester City Council, but to realise its ambition the organisation needs to raise a further £500,000.

Band on the Wall has now announced a revised ‘Band Pass’ membership programme, with all proceeds going towards the project.

Membership packages start at just £30 for ‘Classic’ annual membership, rising to £5,000 for premium ‘Platinum’ packages, which include lifetime free entry to all Band on the Wall concerts.

Classic: one-year membership, £30
•    20% discount on tickets to the majority of shows for one year
•    Complimentary tickets to three events per year (worth up to £75)
•    Invitations to Band on the Wall VIP events throughout the year
 
Bronze: five-year membership, £100
•    20% discount on tickets to the majority of shows for five years
•    Complimentary tickets to three events per year (worth up to £75)
•    Invitations to Band on the Wall VIP events throughout the year
•    Limited edition individually numbered metal membership card
•    Limited edition exclusive welcome gift
 
Silver: ten-year membership, £180
Silver Band Pass members receive all of the above for ten years.
 
Gold: lifetime membership, £500
Gold Band Pass members receive all of the above for a lifetime.
 
Platinum: lifetime free entry, £5k
•    Free entry to all shows for a lifetime for holders and a guest
•    Invitations to Band on the Wall VIP events throughout the year
•    Limited edition individually numbered metal membership card
•    Limited edition exclusive welcome gifts and presentation box
