£2.5m worth of contracts sparks recruitment drive at fit out company

COMMERCIAL fit out company Brown & Bancroft Interiors has made two hires on the back of a string of contract wins in the last month valued at £2.5m.

John Barta and Glenn Lewis both previously of Overbury, will join Brown & Bancroft’s site management team and contribute to the delivery of projects worth £4.5m by the end of the year.

Currently boasting a team of 20, the Bolton-based company is looking for further site managers, project managers, key operatives and quantity surveyors.

The business, which launched just over three years ago by Paul Brown, Jill Bancroft and Neil Fidler, is expected to achieve a record £10m turnover in 2017, up 30% year-on-year, thanks to a string of instructions for the likes of Mills and Reeve, Heller UK, Kings Chambers and Siemens.

Located on St George’s Road, Brown & Bancroft Interiors is set to complete its own refurbishment early next year as it expands into an adjacent office suite to double the size of its HQ.

Mr Brown said: “We have an incredibly strong team of construction and fit out specialists trained to work hand-in-hand with clients to achieve project objectives without affecting day-to-day business operations. We pride ourselves on being friendly, honest and straight-talking, and it’s this approach that we believe has secured our latest project wins.

“Currently working on sites across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Worcestershire, it has been imperative that we increase our headcount with the addition of experienced professionals such as John and Glenn. Both individuals bring with them a wealth of industry knowledge and we are delighted they have joined the business.

“We may be considered a young company, but the directors alone have been working in the property sector for circa 90 years and we are ambitious. We will thrive on a busy end to the year and look forward to an exciting 2017, which we anticipate will see larger project instructions, a bigger team and a new improved office.”
