Homespares swoops for Exserve

BOLTON-based Homespares, a distributor which specialises in spare parts for domestic appliances, has acquired spare parts company Exserve.

The undisclosed deal will bring Exserves distribution facility in Peterborough in Cambridgeshire under Homespares control, meaning customers will be able to have access to a  wide product range, including Unifit, Homespare and other well-known manufacturers brands, enabling the business to become a one stop shop.

Homespares managing director Kirk Whitehead said: “We’re looking for ways to lower prices, widen our product range and offer the simplest, easiest shopping experience because that’s what our customers want. We believe the acquisition of Exserve accelerates our progress across these priorities”

The company employs around 50 staff from its Bolton HQ and supplies a wide range of products to many national retailers such as supermarkets, DIY, electrical and home furnishing stores.
