People on the move: LSH and Acumen Financial Partnership

COMMERCIAL property company Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed Dean Young as a director to lead its Manchester industrial agency team.

Young, pictured, who founded specialist industrial agency, Young and Co Ltd, will bring his client list and more than 30 years of experience in industrial property to LSH. Dean Young

He also previously led North West industrial teams for Knight Frank, CBRE and Edward Rushton.
 
Young has acted for a number of major clients in the North West including CBRE Global Investors, IPIF, M7Real Estate, Aberdeen Asset Management , Norbert Dentressangle Revelan and Bidvest.
   
Matthew Scrimshaw, regional managing director of the North at LSH, said: “Last year LSH’s industrial team was identified as being the UK’s most active industrial agents in Estates Gazette’s Annual Deals Competition. We have a strong team, but are keen to develop it even further.  

“Dean Young is one of the North West’s big hitters in the industrial market and we feel that, with his extensive experience and contacts, he can drive our team forward and overtake our rivals.”

Young will oversee LSH’s industrial team in Manchester and  will be based in the company’s Spinningfields office in central Manchester.

WEST Lancashire firm Acumen Financial Partnership has added to its growing team with the appointment of a new pinancial planning executive.

Joanne Wilden joins the independent financial advisers from Charles Stanley in Liverpool and becomes Acumen’s second appointment in a 12-month period which also saw the firm move to new premises in Burscough and break the £100m barrier for funds under management.

Wilden, who is from Southport, has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector having worked previously at ADA Independent Financial Advisers in Southport and Griffiths & Armour Insurance Brokers in Liverpool, along with David Roberts & Partners and Plus Group.
 
Angela Maher, managing director at Acumen Financial Partnership, said: “Having another new face join our team is the perfect way to start 2017 and we’re proud to welcome Joanne aboard.

“Joanne holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and has spent 11 years as a paraplanner so we’re gaining a very knowledgeable and experienced new member of staff.”

Wilden becomes the third member of Charles Stanley’s private client team in Liverpool to join Acumen following IFA Jenny Jones and trainee financial services associate Julie Cranny.
