North West music promoter in tune for another big year

THE MUSIC promoters behind Rod Stewart’s UK hits tour last year have big plans for 2017 having already announced 150 nights of live entertainment and music, with more to follow.

Cuffe and Taylor’s 12-month calendar will include tours from Sir Cliff Richard, Shakin’ Stevens, Marti Pellow, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe, One Hundred Voices of Gospel along with the Remembering Fred show which celebrates the life of Fred Astaire through song and dance.

Individual shows and festivals will see the North West-based promoter work with the likes of Olly Murs, Jess Glynne, Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Bryan Adams, Madness, The Beach Boys, The Charlatans and George Benson.

Director of Cuffe and Taylor, Peter Taylor said: “Team Cuffe and Taylor will be travelling the length and breadth of the country throughout 2017 and we cannot wait.

“It’s going to be a fantastic year for the company and we look forward to presenting many, many memorable nights of live entertainment and music.

This year’s growing programme of events follows a successful 2016 which saw the company orchestrate nearly a hundred nights of live music and events across the UK.

As well as selling over 160,000 tickets for Rod Stewart’s 2016 tour, Cuffe and Taylor planned a nationwide theatre tour with Dame Joan Collins, tours with the Military Wives, Aled Jones and the Bay City Rollers.

Cuffe & Taylor also programmed and presented Lytham Festival, Greenwich Music Time and a string of high profile concerts at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, all of which the company will be working with again this year. Tatton Park Concerts by the Lake, Betley Concerts, and the first live music events at Cumbria’s Cartmel Racecourse were also promoted and programmed by Cuffe and Taylor.

Peter added: “This past 12 months has been absolutely phenomenal. We have worked with world class artists throughout the year and it has been fantastic.”

Bryan Adams, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Simply Red, James Bay, Seal, Tom Jones, Wet Wet Wet and Joe Bonamassa were just a few of the artists who performed thanks to Cuffe and Taylor last year.

“Last year we sold more than 360,000 tickets so let’s see what 2017 brings,” he said.
