Lord Of The Dance – Dangerous Games
Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games will take to the stage this weekend at the Liverpool Empire. Celebrating 20 years since he debuted Lord of the Dance, the show, which has been produced, choreographed and directed by Michael Flatley, will star his protégés James Keegan, Morgan Comer and Mathew Smith in the role of the Lord of the Dance. artOpen Art Competition and Exhibition
Garstang & District Arts Society in Garstang will host an open exhibition this weekend. Over 80 paintings from local artists will be on display, giving you the perfect opportunity to view talent from across the North West. Glenn MillerThe Glenn Miller Orchestra
The UK’s most renowned big band is set to swing you back in time on Saturday at the Bridgewater Hall. The show will bring Glenn Miller’s own arrangements of favourite wartime chart-toppers and hits from the forties to the stage and is directed by legendary band leader Ray Mc Vay. Songs that will be performed will include Moonlight Serenade, Tuxedo Junction and In the Mood. Find out more here.

Cavern ClubThe History of The Cavern
This weekend marks the 60th anniversary of The Cavern Club and it is hard to believe what music would be like now if the venue hadn’t had become such a hit with The Beatles and a range of other acts. The Chef ShowThe Chef Show
The Chef Show will take to the stage at The Arts Centre in Burscough Wharf on Sunday night. The play follows the story of a father and son who are having a particularly busy night in their restaurant. As they struggle to deal with all the customers and the staff in the kitchen, they also have to decide on the future of the curry house. The cast are joined on stage by a guest chef from The Curry Leaf Cottage restaurant, who will be offering a spicy cookery demonstration. Find out more here.
