Funding helps ice cream firm to get move to new HQ licked

SIGNIFICANT growth has led Cooldelight Desserts to acquire new premises at Carr Bank Lodge in the centre of Ramsbottom near Bury in Greater Manchester, after receiving a funding boost from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Established in 2005, Cooldelight Desserts is a specialist supplier of ice cream and frozen dessert products, to the Education & Healthcare (Public Sector) of the UK foodservice market. The company has enjoyed rapid growth this year with its turnover increasing to £10m.

Cooldelight Desserts currently trade from its head office from rented premises in Cuba Business Park on Bolton Road North.

Refurbishment work is currently underway at the new premises and Cooldelight Desserts hope to complete the move later in 2017. They currently employ eight people.
Cooldelight Desserts products are manufactured at two main production sites, in the UK and Belgium.

Stephen Binns, director at Cooldelight Desserts, said: “Our turnover has increased substantially over the last year and we are delighted to be in a position to invest in our own premises.”

Gavin Elmes, senior relationship manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Cooldelight Desserts is a very impressive local business and one we are delighted to assist. It has enjoyed fantastic growth recently and it made sense for them to move from rented premises and to invest in acquiring their own site.”
