Car buying website celebrates millionth vehicle milestone

Greater Manchester-based car-buying company webuyanycar.com has acquired its one-millionth automobile, marking an historic milestone for the business founded by entrepreneur brothers Noel and Darren McKee in 2006.

Headquartered in Middleton, the automotive firm now runs more than 200 local branches nationwide, where its experts finalise sales with car owners after the latter first secured a valuation for their motor via webuyanycar’s website.

From humble beginnings over 10 years ago, the business has grown into one of the most recognised and celebrated brands, now turning over circa £685m in revenue and employing 468members of staff. In 2011, webuyanycar also entered the American market.

Richard Evans, head of Technical Services, said: “There’s no denying that webuyanycar has been a tremendous success – the fact we are today celebrating our one-millionth customer certainly backs that up.

“For me, that comes down to our unrivalled proposition. From day one, car owners have loved the fact that we take the hassle away, that we provide them with a quick and easy service, knowing that they also get deals with us that they wouldn’t get anywhere else.

“That being said, you don’t get to ten years in business and one million customers without having a dedicated and talented team behind you. The company’s accomplishments are testament to the hard work and passion of each and every webuyanycar colleague.”
