People on the move: LSH; Roland Dransfield; True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners; CBRE; Baines Wilson

Commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has announced a leadership restructure in its North West offices, and the senior-level promotions of Gayle Taylor and Stephen Proudley.  

Taylor becomes consultancy services director and Stephen Proudley takes on the position of transactions services director. The newly created roles will work as a partnership to lead and drive the business’s three North West-based offices and 140 staff forward across the region.
 
Taylor, who heads up LSH’s 17-strong building consultancy team in Manchester and doubled its size and income in just three years, will now head operations across the North West business. She will take responsibility for driving performance and monitoring progress across the whole region.

Proudley, who has nearly 20 years of retail agency experience, will lead the business’s substantial retail, office, industrial, hospitality agency and capital markets/investment teams.

Matthew Scrimshaw, regional director, North region, said: “As part of Lambert Smith Hampton’s continued growth, we have reorganised the North West’s leadership team. This will allow us to play to our strengths and focus on developing and growing our operation, effectively, raising our game.

Manchester-based PR and marketing communications agency Roland Dransfield has appointed Carolyn Lewis as online reputation manager to bolster its digital team.
 
Lewis joins Roland Dransfield from Sofology, where she spent nearly 18 months managing the sofa brand’s online reputation and content marketing wing.

The new appointment comes as the award-winning agency continues to expand its client offering with multi-channel marketing and communications expertise.

She said: “ It’s a huge testament to the forward-thinking nature of the agency to recognise that this area of digital marketing is essential to the perception and sentiment towards their client’s brands.

Lewis brings more than a decade of PR, marketing communications and brand reputation management to Roland Dransfield, having worked for Hotter Shoes, Travel Counsellors and JD Sports Fashion Plc prior to Sofology.

North West independent financial adviser True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners has promoted one of its most respected advisers.

Mark Russel has been promoted to senior associate director after joining the practice in May 2013, at the company based in Euxton, near Chorley.

 He advises across a broad range of areas and has a wealth of experience in planning and delivering a structured financial strategy for his clients.

CBRE has announced the senior appointment of Jenny Smith, who will be joining the North West asset management team as senior director following the retirement of current head John Lea after more than 33 years.

Smith will be based in Manchester and will also assume responsibility for a large Liverpool team.  She brings significant public and private sector client experience and expertise to the role, having previously worked with GVA, Bruntwood, Manchester Airport Group and, most recently, NCP.

She will be responsible for managing CBRE’s 25m sq ft of clients North West assets, including those for Patrizia, Merseyside Pension Fund, Harbert, HCA and Deka.
 
Smith said: “This is a great move and opportunity for me, managing some of the North West’s most prominent assets for a diverse range of forward looking clients. There is a great team in place and we will work together to further build the instruction base and add to our client portfolio, as well as CBRE’s objectives of managing the region’s most iconic properties.

“CBRE is known for managing The Manchester Arndale, Birchwood Park, Heywood Distribution Park, Royal Liver Building  and Liverpool’s Kings Waterfront development.”

Baines Wilson, the specialist corporate and commercial law firm based in Lancaster and Carlisle has appointed Imogen Duck to their expanding Dispute Resolution and Litigation team.

Duck qualified as a solicitor in 2015, previously working for a local Lancaster firm. She joins Baines Wilson’s growing dispute resolution and litigation team.

She deals with all aspects of commercial litigation and has particular experience in acting for haulage companies based in and out of the UK, in UK Border Agency and HM Revenue & Customs disputes.

Head of litigation, Elizabeth Black, said: “I am delighted to have Imogen, who is a very capable and personable solicitor, join the team. As the firm continues to grow and expand it is crucial that we appoint talented solicitors like Imogen.”
