IDL offloads 50,000 sq ft facility

A manufacturing warehouse in the Openshaw area of Manchester owned by IDL has been sold for £2.4m.

Davies Harrison, acting for IDL, negotiated the deal to dispose of the 50,361sq ft building on Crabtree Leane, off Ashton New Road.

Elecometer, which already occupies the adjacent unit, bought the property as part of its expansion strategy.

The warehouse, which comprises three adjacent units are situated on a self-contained 1.73-acre site.

Rick Davies, partner at Davies Harrison, said: “There was considerable interest for this property mainly due to the limited availability of similar freehold properties within the region.

“We have seen strong occupational demand for freehold and leasehold properties since the beginning of the new year, which is very encouraging for the North West market as a whole.”
