LIAM Gallagher’s clothing business Pretty Green has taken a short-term lease at a Bruntwood building in Manchester.

The former Oasis frontman’s Pretty Green venture has rented 1,850 sq ft at the property group’s Manchester Club in King Street on a six-month lease.

Due to open on Wednesday, it is Pretty Green’s second shop after opening in London’s Carnaby Street in August.

Richard Ralph, chief executive at the company, said: “Manchester Club’s King Street location is perfect for Pretty Green. The label focuses on high-quality, design led menswear and King Street reflects our brand values.”

Toby Sproll, head of retail at Manchester-based Bruntwood, said: “Pretty Green’s decision to let with Bruntwood further demonstrates our ability to provide competitive space in Manchester’s main shopping locations.”

The Manchester Club was the former Liberal Democrat’s clubhouse during the 1900s. According to Bruntwood former prime ministers William Gladstone, Winston Churchill and Lloyd George have all visited the building in the past.
