Chris joined Pegasus Group in 2004 having previously been employed as a Principal Planning Officer at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. He worked at Pegasus’ Birmingham and East Midlands offices before establishing the Leeds office in 2006/07.
Chris has a wealth of experience across a broad spectrum of planning sectors, a range of project sizes, types and complexities. Projects include planning applications for new residential development in numerous locations throughout England, more notably within the Yorkshire and Humber region. These have involved sites of a bespoke nature, such as large extensive homes or a number of major schemes in excess of 500 homes, some with a mixed use component.
Work has ranged from initial planning viability through to public consultation, preparation and submission of the planning application and their determination.
Chris also provides expert witness evidence at public inquiries or appeal hearings, as well as those schemes determined by written representations.
He also has a particular expertise in respect of leisure and tourism and agricultural based developments and has been successfully negotiated a significant number of such proposals through the planning system, including through the appeal process. Chris also acts on behalf of a number of clients in making representations to emerging planning policies for all types of development.
