Google inspired office move to create another 25 jobs in Lancashire

Lancashire inbound marketing agency Digital 22 has designed its own Google inspired office in a bid to create another 25 new jobs this year.

The move to ultra-modern 5,000 sq ft premises within the renovated James Places’ Holmes Mill complex, Clitheroe, provides a space akin to big brand businesses operating in London’s Shoreditch area.

Director Mark Byrne is confident that the new office and the company’s employee-led culture, will help attract more talent to their door, as they look to grow the workforce from 40 to 65.

He said: “We’re thrilled to finally realise our vision to create a ‘wow’ factor workplace like those of Google and Facebook?in the Ribble Valley.”

“The vision has long been to create a flexible working space where employees can work anywhere they wish, whether that’s sitting or standing at one of the many desks, relaxing in breakout areas, bean bag or even making use of the wider complex facilities.

“It’s a much more exciting working environment and with a third of the office space for recreational use, we encourage our team to relax, enjoy a game of pool or ping pong, play on the games console, listen to some tunes in the culture room and take advantage of free snacks and drinks on offer in our industrial sized fridge.

“The location is perfect for clients too, as we can book them into the hotel and restaurant onsite and everything they need is right here on our doorstep.”

The HubSpot Global Partner of the Year has five current marketing vacancies in SEO, web and graphic design, strategy and content, including a position as an apprentice office administrator.

There are a wealth of travel opportunities open to employees and further plans to open a second global office in 18 to 24 months’ time.

Mark said: “As a leadership team, we genuinely have one core goal. We want to create the best place to work that’s fun and exciting. Where people can learn and grow and go home feeling fulfilled and rewarded.”

“We want people to see that there are career opportunities within Lancashire working in a fast expanding, culture first, exciting company in a sector that is only going to grow and grow.

The Digital 22 office sits above the Holmes Mill Food Hall, with the former 1823 textile mill complex which has been sympathetically restored as part of a £10m renovation project.

Until January, the company was working from a smaller office within the complex.

The business has doubled year on year for the last five with ambitions to grow by a further 100% this year.
