Recruitment drive at Bennett Verby

As part of an ongoing strategy for growth, Stockport accountancy practice Bennett Verby is looking to boost headcount to by 20% across all departments by the end of 2019.

Bennett Verby CEO Bernard Verby said “We are looking forward to the next chapter for our business. Having celebrated our own and our clients’ successes over the past year, we are planning to grow our teams with staff who will help us continue to offer outstanding service to our clients old and new.”

Following a 21.5% rise in client numbers over the last twelve months, nearly all from referrals, Bennett Verby is on the hunt for accounts and audit staff at all levels. Bernard Verby commented “As the business goes from strength to strength, we need team members who are dynamic, forward-thinking and skilled to help us reach our targets.”

Although experience is key at all levels, the company is always prepared to invest time and money to develop its staff. Having hired its first apprentice over twenty years ago, Bennett Verby already has a long history of hiring and developing young people to achieve the company’s business goals. One of the firm’s directors and three managers began their careers with Bennett Verby as apprentices.

Director Neil Jones, who began his career with the firm back in 1999 as an apprentice, said, “As a company, we are passionate about hiring young, local people. As well as investing in the local economy, our apprenticeship scheme gives young individuals the skills and confidence they need for the world of work.
