Bolton-based manufacturer Taurus Fitted Bedrooms has secured a six-figure working capital package from the Royal Bank of Scotland to support further growth and recent new contract wins.

Established over 15 years ago, Taurus Fitted Bedrooms is one of the North West’s leading suppliers of bespoke fitted bedrooms. The company is managed by its Directors – Colin Grady, Lee Mason and Joe Grady and they specialise in providing quality fitted bedrooms at affordable prices. In addition, Taurus Fitted Bedrooms also supply a wide range of specialist healthcare bedroom furniture to care homes, hospitals and secure mental health units and are today established as a leading UK contract supplier of specialist healthcare and hospital furniture.

The funding package provided by the Royal Bank of Scotland consists of a six-figure working capital facility that is supporting the company’s continued growth. This has enabled the company to bid and gain lucrative new contracts helped by the financial backing of the Royal Bank of Scotland. Taurus Fitted Bedrooms manufacture their own products from their premises in Bolton with two dedicated factories. They employ 11 factory based staff and 9 fitters who travel all over the country fitting the units. The company employs in total 25 staff in Bolton and has a turnover of £2.5 million which has grown significantly in recent years thanks to their growth in the hospital sector.

Lee Mason, Director Taurus Fitted Bedrooms said: “We have an excellent customer base across Bolton and the North West but have commercial contracts with customers further afield across the UK. We have experienced strong growth on the back of our reputation for delivering bespoke furniture for both our domestic and commercial customers. Managing our cash flow has been a very important aspect of our growth and the facility provided by the Royal Bank of Scotland has given us a platform from which to deliver our new contracts but also seek to win new ones with confidence that we have the necessary funding in place.”

Gavin Elmes, Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland added: “The last two years have seen Taurus Fitted Bedrooms expand rapidly thanks to significant new contract wins in the public sector. The management team are focused on further growth and we are delighted to provide financial backing to help them achieve their business goals and bring further new business to the area and potentially job creation in the future.”
