Appointments: Acua, Legacy, Exova

New trio join Acua

BUSINESS development organisation Acua has made a trio of appointments coinciding with its third anniversary. The new posts of commercial director and operations director have been created at the Coventry-based firm as the leadership and organisational development specialist looks to build and expand in the UK and overseas. Neil Withey, who joined in 2009, has been promoted from operations manager to operations director, taking responsibility for the operations team along with the delivery and development of products and services. Chris Gale joins as commercial director and takes charge of sales, UK and international business development and marketing. He previously held a commercial management role at Tarmac. Making up the trio is Frank Lauriello who is the new corporate services manager. The company’s client base includes high-profile organisations such as Santander, Jaguar, Ford, TNT and The AA.

Legacy appoints new director

MELANIE Tweddle has been appointed regional operations director at Legacy Hotels and Resorts and will be based at the Legacy Falcon Hotel, in Stratford-upon-Avon. She will oversee a portfolio of Legacy hotels at sites in Salisbury, Plymouth and East Sussex. Priory to joining the company, she was regional general manager for Macdonald Hotels when she was responsible for hotels in Stratford and Kenilworth.

Lab testing firm signs up general manager

GLOBAL testing group Exova has appointed Paul Bradley as its new general manager for its Birmingham laboratory. Mr Bradley joins as general manager from pharmaceutical firm Hospira Aseptic Services where he was responsible for all operations and customer services at its North London manufacturing facility. Prior to his time at Hospira, Mr Bradley spent three years as manufacturing manager at Nova Laboratories, a privately held company specialising in sterile clinical trials.
