REI chief executive Paul Bassi is one of the leading figures in the region’s property industry.

He has backed himself and backed the region across more than three decades working in the Midlands property arena.

Paul founded Bond Wolfe in the early 1980s, and is still chairman. He is chief executive of the AIM-listed real estate investment trust, Real Estate Investors plc, and the largest investor in the business which has a portfolio of £200m in commercial and residential property, mostly in Birmingham and the Midlands.

He built up CPBigwood into the largest auction house outside of London and a business with £5 billion of property under management before selling it.

A high-profile figure across the region, Paul has been High Sheriff of West Midlands, president of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, and received the CBE for services to business and the West Midlands.

In conversation with TheBusinessDesk.com editor Alex Turner, Paul will give his views on how he thinks the region’s property market is performing and where the opportunities and challenges are. He will also discuss how the Midlands can make the most of the momentum it is currently enjoying.

TheBusinessDesk.com’s property professionals lunches typically attract around 100 people from across the sector, so join us for an enjoyable afternoon of networking.
