IoD chief economist to speak at Wolverhampton event

THE chief economist to the Institute of Directors (IoD), Graeme Leach, is to be guest speaker at an event organised by Wolverhampton based loans company Black Country Reinvestment Society.

The society stages the second of its free Business Seminar series ‘Financing a Private Sector Recovery’ at the Technology Centre, Wolverhampton Science Park on Friday March 18.

Mr Leach will speak on the New Policy Environment and the event, which starts at midday, will also Professor David Bailey, of Coventry University Business School, who will talk on The Local Economic Framework.

BCRS chief executive Paul Kalinauckas will conclude the event with a presentation entitled ‘A Co-operative Approach to Small Business Lending’.

Prior to the main speeches, the programme will begin with a networking and a buffet lunch. This will be followed by an introduction from Paul Uppal, MP for Wolverhampton South West, who will also chair the event.

The event will conclude with a question and answer session, followed by a further networking session.

The IoD is Europe’s largest membership organisation for business leaders, supporting 43,000 members through 44 regional branches in the UK and with an international network covering six continents.
