Chartered surveyors merge with local rival

A WORCESTERSHIRE firm of chartered surveyors and estate agents has merged with a national chain.

From today John Sanders, which has offices in Worcester and Bromsgrove, will be known as Fisher German John Sanders after agreeing a merger deal with the national surveying firm.

John Sanders employs 14 staff and specialises in property agency and rural consultancy and covers Worcestershire, Herefordshire, north Gloucestershire and south Shropshire.

It was founded in 1991 by Christian Sanders and his late father John who was previously a partner in Banks and Silvers.

The union with Fisher German will see Christian Sanders, Morgan Aps and Matthew Barker become partners.

Fisher German, registered in Market Harborough, has 11 offices nationwide which will retain the same name, including a rural consultancy in Blackpole East, north Worcester, and in Stafford.

It has been established for 160 years and specialises in renewable energy, utilities, telecommunications and estate management.

A spokeswoman for Fisher German said there would be no office closures or redundancies as a result of the merger but that expansion of the payroll was likely in the longer term.

The new company now employs a total of around 250 staff across its 13 bases.

Mr Sanders said: “The merger will really expand the estate agency side of the business and give our clients national reach as well as local offices. This will add considerably to the service we already offer.”

Stuart Flint, head of property agency for Fisher German, added: “We are joining forces with a very well respected estate agent who have an excellent knowledge of the Worcestershire area where Fisher German have already been for many years.

“We envisage significant expansion in the region on the back of this merger.”
